The Stages of Awakening

“Waking Up”

A spiritual awakening is a profound shift in your perception of yourself and the world. This is the part of the hero’s journey, guiding you towards a more authentic and connected Self. The ego forms by age 7, and it allows us to engage in this human experience. To engage we must believe it is real, and ego allows us to do that. It is the vehicle and the operating system running fairly unconsciously, until something happens. We become aware, then we become aware of our awareness. The stages of awakening can occur in a non-linear fashion, multiple times in one lifetime.

Stage 1: The Questioning

You start asking the big ones: "What's the point of it all?" "Is this all there is?" A subtle shift occurs, and it starts cracking the foundation of your old belief systems. You might question the status quo, feel a yearning for deeper meaning, or experience synchronicities. You may be gravitating to people having similar experiences of seeing repeating numbers or “breaking from the norm,” or you could be more solitary in your experience. It’s like you just found out there is a treasure map, and you want to figure out the map’s key immediately. This is the fertile ground where the seed of awakening is planted.

Common feelings are: desire to learn, connecting with yourself, and feeling a sense of urgency to have all the answers

Stage 2: The Disillusionment

The veil starts to thin, revealing shadows you might have preferred to keep hidden. This can be a phase of shedding, where you confront long-held beliefs and confront shadows within yourself and the world around you. This stage can be emotionally challenging, but it's necessary for clearing away illusions to make space for truth. This is a time where people consider big life shifts. Divorce, career shifts, and new perspectives on their internal system might enter their realm of consideration.

Common feelings are: a desire to share the knowledge with everyone, might feel as if you know more than others, might feel anger about your family system or the systems of the world

Stage 3: The Dark Night of the Soul

This is the crux of the journey. A period of intense introspection and emotional upheaval. You may feel lost, disconnected, and question everything. This is a crucible where your true strength and resilience are forged. Embrace this liminal space, for within the darkness, profound transformation awaits. It's like the chrysalis stage of a caterpillar, a necessary breakdown before the magnificent butterfly emerges. This is a breakdown to break through stage and you can be at-risk of dropping out the of the process. You may feel overwhelmed as if you want to go back into the “unknowing” or “ignorance is bliss” state of being.

Common feelings are: deep self-reflection, acceptance that not everyone “gets it,” feeling a little apathetic or hopeless

Stage 4: The Vision

A glimmer of light pierces the darkness. You receive glimpses of your true essence, your profound connection to all things. Your awareness is vastly expanded and your third eye is open. You may be interested in learning about the pineal gland, vibration, frequency, what is in the food you eat or products you consume. A deeper understanding of how these affect your ability to “connect” is gained that others may not agree with. You may start researching ancient texts or getting back to valuing rest, nature, heart-to-heart connections, and purpose. This activation ignites your spirit, filling you with a renewed sense of hope and possibility.

Common feelings are: connected, understanding yourself, reconnecting with deeply spiritual concepts, an interest in health and wellness

Stage 5: The Integration

Here, you begin to embody the wisdom gleaned from your awakening. You integrate your newfound awareness into daily life, becoming a bridge between the seen and unseen realms. This is the merging of your inner and outer worlds. You “let go” and “align” trusting the ebb and flow of the Universe. You understand there is a hidden code of Divine orchestration weaving life in perfect harmony.

Common feelings are: could feel “blissed out,” have a hard time relating to anyone who has not gone through an awakening process, might believe you “know everything”

Stage 6: The Radiance

You become a beacon of light, radiating compassion and authenticity. You act as a Wayshower for others on their own awakening journeys. This is the stage of co-creation, where you contribute your unique gifts to weave the tapestry of a New Earth.

Remember, this is not a linear path. You might revisit stages, and that's perfectly okay! Trust the flow, embrace the challenges, and celebrate the victories. The deeper you choose to go, the more intense the energies will get.
